Living rooms and Sunrooms
The 2 large living rooms offer our guests the versatility to enjoy different entertainment simultaneously.
- downstairs: with a large indoor braai and fireplace. Close to the open plan kitchen and the dining room, you can relax and enjoy the fire during cold days or nights, cook on the braai and watch movies on our large screen tv.
- upstairs: has a central fire place, a bar and access to the outdoor balcony overlooking the lush garden, swimming pool and the Breede river.
The 2 sunrooms: both upstairs linked to the living rooms, have a stunning view, one of the river and the other one of the pond.
Open plan Kitchen & Dining room
The central open plan kitchen is situated downstairs. It is fully equipped with gas stove, oven & microwave, fridge/freezer, cutlery, crockery and cooking equipment. It is linked to a scullery with 3 sinks, a dish washer and a laundry area with washing machine and dryer.
The Dining room is right next to the open plan kitchen with a large table, and close to the stoep where a long wooden outdoor table can also sit a group of friends or family to enjoy a delicious meal.
Entertaining area
The entertainment area is situated downstairs with direct access to the garden and the swimming pool. it allows our guest to enjoy indoor activities thanks to the billiard table and ping pong table, foosball table, dartboard, and large variety of board games...
Bedroom: "La Parisienne"
​Downstairs in the shady corner. This queen size bed with ensuite bathroom has a French touch. A favourite amongst late sleepers. The mellow garden view adds a certain calmness to the room.
Bedroom "Sunrise"
The sunrise is best in this room and its cooler during warm summer days. With its garden views, its queen size bed and spacious ensuite, it has an African feel with a liberal use of wood and stone. A favourite for some!​
Bedroom "River view"
The Drift wood bedroom is situated on the first floor, north facing and enjoying the sun all day long. It overlooks the lush garden, the swimming pool and the Breede river.
This creative space has river views from the bath, shower, toilet and queen size bed, a private balcony and built in cupboards.​
Bedroom "Sunset"
This is a large, spacious room with sunset views, near the bar, sunroom and balcony. Nicely decorated combining wood and metal, this cosy bedroom has a walk in dressing room with His & Hers showers and sinks, a queen size bed and some additional sleeping options for kids.​ (in the adjoining sunroom)
Bedroom: "The wooden room"
This ensuite double bedroom is situated on the first floor, facing the morning sun. It has a cosy, rustic feel and is located in a quiet corner of the house. The room is closest to the study area and has great internet reception.
Bedroom: "The Oak room"
​This ensuite double bedroom is situated on the first floor, overlooking our back garden, the village dam, and stunning mountains bordering the De Hoop Nature reserve.
The bedroom and bathroom uses natural materials like black slate and light oak wood. This room has an extra single bed in it and is popular as kids or singles room.
Outside stoep, Garden, Swimming pool & Pool Lapa
A garden which embraces a wide variety of fauna and flora that, in unison , gives you a habitat full of vibrancy and life. At night the garden becomes a wonderful stage to look up at the breathtaking night sky.
The large swimming pool is a favourite spot for hot days!
The Pool Lapa provides an semi-open entertainment area besides the pool.

Outdoor Braai Area
A beautiful and natural garden sweeps around the whole of the River Queen. Small enough to enjoy by yourself or large enough for the whole family.
Similar to the Pool Lapa, the Outdoor Braai Area provides an semi-open entertainment area, perfect for dining outside at sunset.
