High Moon River House
High Moon lies on the banks of the Breede River, in Lemoentuin area, 4km from Malgas, 27km from the Indian ocean & Infanta village, 45km from Swellendam, only 250km from Cape Town or George.
With a spacious 2 bedroom house and a separate cottage, High Moon is the ideal accommodation for friends & family.
It can accommodate groups up to 8 people. Larger groups are welcome by arrangement (extra fees).

High Moon comprises of:
- A double storey thatch roof with 2 double bedrooms with their own terrace & 2 separate bathrooms. The upstairs lounge has a sleeper couch for potential extra guests/kids.
This main house has a fully equipped open plan kitchen adjoining a dining room, which flows through a spacious lounge, all leading onto a wrap around wooden terrace offering breathtaking views of the Breede river
- A seperate thatched roof cottage with a spacious open plan room with kitchenette. It has a sleeper couch and mattresses and its own separate bathroom. Our guests are welcome to bring extra mattresses.
The cottage also has its own private terrace offering stunning views on the river.
High Moon has its own private jetty on the Breede river, giving water lovers access to over 50km of river. Perfect for boating water skiing, wake boarding, canoeing, and kayaking...

Part of the Lower Breede River Nature Conservancy, this un-spoilt piece of paradise is known for its rich biodiversity and is home to an abundance of bird species and wildlife.
It is also part of the Cape Floral Kingdom with hundreds of varieties of Fynbos and can enjoy various nature activities like hiking, cycling, bird watching, etc…

Breede river is also recognized as one of the best fishing estuaries in South Africa which boasts a history of record catches of Spotted Grunter, Leervis, Cob and White Steenbras.

High Moon is rented, in its entirety, on a self-catering basis (bedding included).

Please be aware that the water is pumped from the river. It is suitable for washing but not drinking, and it needs to be used sparingly.
